השבוע הזה היה מלא בהשראה עבורי, הן יצירתית והן נפשית

הציור והפיסול הן אהבות גדולות בחיי בשנים האחרונות ואני מוצאת ושואבת המון השראה הן מתערוכות, גלריות ומוזיאונים ומעבודות של אמנים שתמיד אפשר ללמוד מהן ולהתפתח

במשך 10 שנים מתקיימת בלב הפארק ברעננה תערוכת כד וחומר" ומאגדת עבודות של אמני קרמיקה שונים שעובדים כל אחד בטכניקה שונה ומדהימה בעיניי

מעבר לתפאורה המקסימה של הפארק והאגם שסביבו מתקיימת התערוכה (ברבורים באגם באמצע עיר - מתה על זה) , אני מוצאת שכל שנה יש כזו התקדמות ורעיונות חדשים ואמנים פשוט לוקחים את האמנות שלהם צעד אחד קדימה -
השנה היו כמה אמנים שפשוט התאהבתי ברעיונות שלהם: בחורה שרוקמת בתוך כלי הקרמיקה (כן, כן עם חוטי ריקמה ואיקסים) - הנה דוגמא

, אמנית מדהימה בעיניי שמתשתמשת בשריפת עישון: חימר ששרוף במדורה ומעוטר על ידי עשן (הייתי חייבת אחד כזה לעצמי

בשישי בבוקר החלטנו אני, אור, חברתי הטובה ביותר (כבר 25 שנה!!!) ועינב לעשות בוקר של כיף בנמל

עמותת "זכרון מנחם" הרימה פרוייקט "מציירים את המחר" שבו התבקשו 180 אמנים לצייר על ספסלים את מה שהם מדמיינים/שואפים ומקווים לעתיד

כל הנושא כולו קרוב לליבי מאחר ואבא שלי הצליח, תודה לאל, לשרוד את המחלה הנוראה הזו לאחר שחלה לפני 17 שנה בסרטן בקיבה (ועבר כריתה של חלק גדול ממנה) - התקופה הזו, כמו גם השנים מאז, הן התמודדות של המשפחה כמו גם שלו עצמו - והעמותה הזו תומכת עושה עבודת קודש בתמיכה שהיא נותנת גם לילדים חולי הסרטן וגם למשפחותיהם

אני כ"כ מעריכה כל אחד מהאנשים היקרים שהגיעו לשם לתרום מזמנם - היה ח-ם, אבל ממש ח-ם (ואני עוד אוהבת קיץ) ולא קל לשבת 7 שעות ולצייר - אבל הם עשו את זה מכל הלב וזה היה מדהים

היו שם גם קרן-פרפרים (עם שולחן מושקע וגיבוי כריות - קרן אין עלייך
חגית-משחק מילים(שכל פעם שעברתי היתה עדיין עם חיוך על הפנים, למרות החום הנוראי

וענת דביר-עם שולחן מקסים ומתוק בעיניי

והנה עוד כמה דוגמאות לשולחנות המקסימים שתפסו לי את העין

well, this has been a week full of events, filled with arts and inspiration.

for the past 8 years i've been painting and i also sculpt in clay and have been doing so for the past 3 years (and loving every minute) -so this week was all about these two loves of mine.

every year there's an exhibition in Ra'anana which combines clay and ceramics artists who want to showcase their work.

I'm still not feeling i can showcase my art (i feel i have a lot to learn and improve - but one day, maybe...)

the exhibition, running for the past 10 years in the R'aanana Park (which is beautiful) was very inlighting for me - i usually love galleries and museums which i think are a great source for inspiration and can teach us so much.

i saw some amazing art and vaious techniques that i would love to tryout sometime soon and even bought me an amazing piece which is made in a sort os smoking technique (instead of putting the artifact in the special oven, the artist makes a hole in the groud and start a fire and the white clay gets smoky in such an amazing way....)

and yesterday i went to Tel aviv Port to see the amazing project "painting tomorrow" with my best friend Or and Ainav

this event was organized by a non profit organization whose volenteers help children who fight cancer and give the much needed support for their families.

this topic is so close to my heart because my father is a survivor - he was diagnosed with cancer 17 years ago and after having a large part of stomach removed - survived, thank god.
so i know in what a great need are the families of cancer patients, especially kids.

the project is called "painting tomorrow" and 180 artists were asked to each paint a small wooden banch/table in the spirit of what they think of hope and the future.

it was a very, very hot day today: 38 degrees (which felt much higher) - and i so admire those who came and sat for almost 7 hours and painted each banch with their heart and soul.

3 amazing ladies whom i know from rhe israeli forum of scrapbooking were painting there today: Keren, Hagit and Anat - great job ladies (i admire your big hearts)

here are some of the ones who caught my attention:

an interactive banch: the rolls can be moved and the elemnts painted are moving, like a cartoon.

"there's allways tomorrow...."

this one was titled "butterflies symbolise freedom" and combines hand painted butterflies and stamps...

to stamp or not to stamp? להחתים או לא להחתים? זו השאלה

well, of course the answer is stamp, stamp, stamp.

and that's exactly what we did last friday on a stamping marathon at micki's.
we gathered at her house i haifa, with it's amazing view and at 10:00 sharp started this fantastic day.

our first agenda was to make a textured canvas and we each played with it for a bit.
we did'nt know what it was going to be so there was a kind of mystery there...

actually, the whole 5 workshops were carried out without us knowing what to expect - and i really liked the element of surprise...

because i didn't bring any photos with me (i allways can't decied on photos before i know what i'll do....) he other workshops were satisfying for the techniques, but i'll probably finish them this weekend - and then i'll post it.

returning to the dried canvas, we started painting them and stampin all around.
i used a lot of the clear embossing powder to bring out the elements, and used an apple mask.
then i used some semi wet paint brush to bring out and intensify the texturd canvas... and used a liner brush to draw rhw circles...

then i started to do some doodeling on the apple - a clear influence of my friend ooty (i never do these because it's her thing actually, but i somehow started them and i think it was clearly because i miss her so, while she's having the tiime of her life for a couple of months) - by the time i was finished i decieded it will be their welcome home gift (so shhhh... LOL)

the whole expirience was such fun -we met other ladies from the north of israel, that we usually don't get together, so that was fun and also we were papmered by micky with excellent food throughout the day and a special friday dinner - yummy

ביום שישי בבוקר יצאנו לכיוון חיפה למרתון סדנאות יצירה אצל מיקי מקובר

מיקי קיבלה אותנו כרגיל עם חיוך על הפנים ובדיוק בשעה 10 (ייקית או לא?) התחלנו את יום הכיף שלנו

התחלנו עם קנווס שמרחנו עליו עם כל מיני עזרים משחת עיצוב ועשינו כל מיני טקסטורות - אני השתמשתי בסכין בכדי לעשות דוגמא של שתי וערב

בזמן שהקנווסים התייבשו עברנו פנימה כדי להתחיל סדנא שניה.

מכיוון שלא הבאתי איתי תמונות, חלק מהסדנאות לא הושלמו עדיין והתוצרים יחכו עד לסופ"ש כדי לסיים, אבל מה שכן סיימתי היה הקנווס.

בד"כ אני מציירת דברים מאד ברורים, בין אם זה נופים, פרחים או דמויות - ובגלל זה כ"כ נהניתי מעצם החוויה של לזרום עם הצבעים והטקסטורות, מבלי לדעת מה בדיוק ייצא

השתמשתי במסיכה של תפוח ובתוכו שרבטתי את סימן ההיכר של עותי, שמבלה עכשיו בקצה השני של העולם, ובסופו של התהליך החלטתי שזו תהיה מתנת החזרה שלהם הביתה (בעוד חודש וחצי) - אז לא לגלות בינתיים...1

בעזרת מכחול עם קצת צבע הדגשתי את הטקסטורה של משחת העיצוב ועם אבקות אמבוסינג הדגשתי את החותמות של התפוחים והכתב

כל התהליך כולו היה מקסים ומהנה ופתח לי דלת לעולם חדש של התנסויות ושילובים

לאורך כל היום מיקי פינקה אותנו במטעמים ובארוחת ערב שישי משגעת. היה כיף לפגוש את קבוצת ה"צפוניות" שעד היום הכרתי רק לפי ניקים ווירטואלית ובכלל לבלות יום שלם בעשייה יצירתית - מה יכול להיות טוב מזה

מפה שלוחה גם תודה ענקית לנוית שבלעדיה לא היה יוצא לפועל היום הזה, מוצלח ומהנה - על כל העשייה מאחורי הקלעים

והדאגה לכל פרט, ועל הצילומים המקסימים שאפשר גם לראות כאן

fabric mini albums מיני אלבום בדים

a while back i did this fabric mini album at a workshop that Nili did when she was on passover holiday in Israel.

i used this mini album to showcase some of my niece's favorite photos.

the workshop was such fun, using materials that were available and altering them to pur own use.

Nili brought us kits with fabrics, felt shapes, buttons, ribbons and cardstock, but the coolest thing was using round coasters as our base for the mini album.

I enjoyed making this mini album so much, that when a birthday of my friend Sari's daughter was approaching, i made one for her.

gaia's album was going to be totally pink and it was fun playing with the fabrics i bought a while back.

הבסיס שהשתמשנו בו למיני אלבום היה תחתיות בירה עגולות.

הכיף בסדנא היה לראות שאפשר מחומרים זמינים וזולים להכין מיני אלבום מושקע ולאו דווקא לקנות את אלבומי הצ'יפבורד

מוכנים - יש משהו מקסים בעיניי במיחזור חומרים והפיכתם למשהו שונה בתכלית

כשהגיע יום ההולדת של גאיה, בת של חברה טובה ומאד מוכשרת-שרי, הכנתי לה אלבום ורוד ורוד בשילוב בדים שקניתי

בנחלה מזמן ורק חיכו שאתחיל להשתמש בהם (ותודה לנוית על התחתיות העגולות - עכשיו יש לי מספיק לעוד כמה אלבומים

stationary box

i wanted to make a gift for one of my friends, who just started a new job and the minute i saw this stationary box on rachel's i started working, litterarly...

the stationary box includes a set of cards, note cards, adress and phone book, a "to do" list note pad (i scored the papers after i stamped them so they can be torn) and little post it notes.

i knew this would be usueful for her and she loves this color so off to work...

rachel's tutorial was very easy to follow so after a couple of hours, with some phone calls inbetween, it was done.

הקופסא מכילה כרטיסי ברכה, כרטיסים קטנים, ספר כתובות וטלפונים, פנקס פוסט איט מיני ורשימת מטלות שהחתמתי ועם חותכן מקווקו, שמאפשר אח"כ לתלוש את הדפים, הידקתי לפנקסון

ההדרכה המצולמת ממש נוחה ואחרי שעתיים, עם קצת הפרעות באמצע (לפעמים אין ברירה...) סיימתי

אני מאד נהניתי להכין - עכשיו בא לי להכין אחד גם לי

my name is yael and i'm addicted to...handbags

yes, sad but true - in real life, and in the scrap world - i have a purse/hand bag fetish...

i have lots and lots of hand bags, big and small, all sorts of shapes and colors..

that's why, when gali posted she'll do a workshop for these handags i loved the idea.

i love handbags, and these, with a place for photos - brilliant.

we met on thursday night, a group of 12 women and started working.

it was quite a lot of details but i really enjoyed it - and 3 hours later (and a lot of chatting and laughter) we each finished our own handbag....

i came home and set aside every household work that had to be done (it can wait, cant it? LOL) and did a few more..

here's the one for my best friend who just adores roses.

i left it blank so she can choose which photos she wants to put in..

well, i was on a roll and i did another one for friends of mine who's son has a birthday coming up real soon - so now they can put his first photos here...

i added a pocket in the front.

i still don't have the amount of time i need to get to my "to do" list - but i'm still hopefull...

מודה ומתוודה, שבכל מה שנוגע לתיקים וארנקים - אני מכורה - בכל צורה, צבע או דוגמא

כבר ראיתי באינטרנט המון הדרכות לתיקים, ואפילו שמתי אותם בתוך רשימת המטלות הקרובות, אבל כשגלי פירסמה שהיא תעביר סדנא לתיקים האלו - נרשמתי מיד - תיקים סקראפיים עם מיני אלבום בתוכן - מבריק

נפגשנו בביתה של נילקי ביום חמישי אחה"צ וגלי העבירה לנו (בפעם הראשונה שלה!!!) סדנא כיפית

למרות החלקים הרבים שמרכיבים את התהליך של התיק, כעבור שלוש שעות, המון צחוקים וכיף אדיר - יצאנו כולנו עם תיקים מדוגמים

כשחזרתי הביתה ועוד הייתי בשיא המרץ, השארתי את כל מטלות הבית, שממילא יחכו לשישי בבוקר, והמשכתי לעוד תיקים
תיק אחד הכנתי לחברה הכי טובה שלי שפשוט אוהבת מאד ורדים (והדף הזה שקיבלתי מנוית פשוט זעק את שמה

ותיק נוסף הכנתי לבן של זוג חברים ליומולדת הקרוב שלו

עדיין אין לי מספיק זמן לשבת על כל הדברים שאני רוצה להכין - אבל אני מקווה שבקרוב אני כבר אוכל לממש אותם (ובשעות נורמליות

i love making gifts...

Remember i told you about my good friend ooty, and her great adventure..., well, tonight they're going on their vacation - three months away from the busy busy life -

an album will be a must when they come back, but in the meantime i wanted to give her little and adorable daughter, Gili, something to take with her - what can you make for an almost 5 years old girl?

i recked my brains out and finally (last night somewhre close to midnight) i screamed eurika (well i didn't actually scream, but you get the idea...)

i decieded to make her an envelpoe book, with 8 envelopes ,so she can collect anything she wants during their long trip.

i hope she'll enjoy it and bring us lots of souvenirs from all over... so we can make her a proper mini album with lots of goodies...

Another gift i've made last week was this magnetic memo pad shaped as an apron which i made especially for Navit, when i visited her last saturday for our very own crop - a mixed media mini album.

I still haven't finished it yet - i'm not sure what the subject of the mini album would be, so it's a bit difficult for me to finish it.

Navit ,on the other hand, did finish hers alredy, here.
the other present i gave her was a ceramic bowl - i love making these, especially in such bold colours.

חברתי עותי טסה לה הערב להרפתקאה שלה - 3 חודשים של חופש מוחלט וכיף אינסופי עם בעלה ובתה הקטנה, גילי

את הרעיון לאלבום שלהם כשיחזרו כבר יש לי בראש, אבל רציתי להכין משהו לגילי הקטנה, משהו שהיא תוכל לקחת איתה..אבל מה מכינים לילדה בת חמש, שתוכל לקחת איתה

התחבטתי עם זה כמה ימים וסופסופ שלשום בלילה, בערך בחצות (אז מגיעים הרעיונות הטובים, לא?) החלטתי להכין אלבום מעטפות שיהיו בו 8 מעטפות שבו היא תוכל לאסוף אץ כל המזכרות מהטיול הארוך

סיימתי אותו ונתתי לה אותו אתמול (היא נתנה חיוך גדול ומקסים והגניבה חיבוק ונשיקה - וזה אומר הכל) ועכשיו כל שנותר לי הוא לחכות 3 חודשים ולראות כמה דברים טובים היא אספה כדי שנוכל להכין לה איזה מיני אלבום, רק בשבילה

הדבר השני שמאד נהניתי להכין היה לוח רשימות מגנטי בצורת סינר, וגם קערה מקרמיקה, שאני אוהבת להכין, בעיקר כשזה בצבעים עזים - ואת זה קיבלה נוית כשעשינו את השבת היצירתית שלנו להכנת אלבום

נוית, כמובן, סיימה כבר את שלה - לי יש עוד דרך ארוכה ובעיקר מהסיבה שעוד לא החלטתי למה ישמש האלבום וזה קצת מקשה על סיומו - אבל הכיף העיקרי הוא באמת הכנה שלו וניסוי כל הטכניקות המעניינות והחומרים השונים - מקווה שבסוף השבוע הזה אסיים אותו
